Railway Interoperability Expert

Obtaining permits

Obtaining permits from the Office of Rail Transport for placing in service of railway vehicles and fixed installations

(INF, ENE, CCT).

Preparation of complete documentation necessary to obtain:

- permission to introduce a railway vehicle to the market,

- permission to place a type of rail vehicle into service,

- permission to place the INF, ENE, CCT, CCO subsystems into service.

Our service includes the following steps:

- performing the function of an authorized representative (manufacturer) or proxy (railway carrier) and coordination of works,

- ordering EC verification of INF, ENE, CCT, CCO and RST subsystems to a Notified Body and cooperation during the certification process,

- issuing an EC Declaration of Verification of the subsystem on behalf of the Applicant,

- issuing a Risk Declaration on behalf of the Applicant in accordance with Art. 16 of Commission Implementing Regulation 402/2013,

- Submitting an application (for vehicles via the OSS platform) and cooperating with the Office of Rail Transport in order to obtain a permit,

- Reporting data on the rail vehicle in ERATV – European Register of Authorized Types of Vehicles.

Support

Support in the development of documentation related to the modernization of railway subsystems.

Obtaining permits for placing in service of structural subsystems INF, ENE, CCT through:

- issuing EC Declarations of Verification of subsystems on behalf of the Applicant,

- issuing a Risk Declaration on behalf of the Applicant,

- developing a safety proof for the "Trackside CCS" subsystem,

- developing restrictions and conditions of use.

Full support for the Applicant in:

- developing documentation on the management of significant changes introduced to the railway system (change risk management) in accordance with the requirements of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 402/2013,

- developing documentation on the definition of applicable requirements in accordance with the requirements of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/545

- obtaining reports from an independent inspection body on the safety assessment in the scope of risk evaluation and assessment and in the scope of defining applicable requirements (requirements management).

Special projects

Assistance with project documentation related to the modernization of railway subsystems.

Comprehensive services for project documentation of INF, ENE, CCT, CCO, RST subsystems in the scope of:

- adaptation of project documentation to meet interoperability requirements (TSI)

- calculations of structures and subsystem elements

- simulations and strength calculations using the Finite Element Method (FEM)

Its main goal is to support designers and contractors of railway modernization and manufacturers of railway vehicles in the topic of interoperability. TC has years of experience in cooperation with national and international Notified Bodies (NoBos) in the process of Subsystem Certification and cooperation with The Office of Rail Transport in obtaining permits for placing in service of Railway Subsystems and Railway Vehicles.
